There's kayaking with humpback whales in Alaska, sailing the Great Lakes in the famed Port Huron-to-Mackinac race, exploring sea caves and shallow-water wrecks in the wilds of Lake Superior and much much more. Your Next Wild Weekend takes you to extraordinary places and has something for everyone in the family.
You'll spot wild, sometimes dangerous, animals in their natural habitats, and learn about all kinds of outdoor sports, including jet-ski racing, fishing, sailing river rafting, wakeboarding, powerboat racing, scuba diving and much more! The show encourages stay-at-home families to try something new in the outdoor world. It uncovers wild locations and activities and presents them in a way that will make the whole family want to get off the couch and out into the wild.
In its first season on the air Your Next Wild Weekend captured 4 Emmys, including Best Magazine Program, Best Magazine Segment, Best Teen Feature and Best Photography.

Byron Goggin
Host / Producer
Raised in the rural Upper Peninsula of Michigan, 10-time Emmy-winning writer, producer and photojournalist, Byron Goggin, spent his childhood exploring its lakes, streams and woodlands. That quest for "wild" activities led to professional careers as a three-time Grand National champion motorcycle racer and renowned sports photojournalist.
After graduating with honors from Ferris State University, Byron brought his passion for the outdoors to television. He was instrumental in bringing quality TV exposure to the racing industry by creating and hosting segments for Motoworld on ESPN and OLN and has been credited with the national resurgence of ATV racing. Byron also spent 10 years as a documentary producer for NBC before joining FOX Sports NET for five years as chief photographer/editor.
Always up for a challenge, Byron actually participates in every activity featured on Your Next Wild Weekend, sometimes bringing along his own family. And his creative storytelling and unique camera angles put the viewer right in the middle of the action.
