Elise Bailey's Enchanted Ocean spotlights marine environments and looks at ocean animals and their habitats in new, exciting and fun ways. It does so with magnificent visuals, breathtaking underwater footage, a revolving cast of comical seaside characters, and its appealing host, marine researcher Elise Bailey.
Every week, Elise and her crew get up close and personal with the unseen world that dominates the vast majority of the planet's surface, yet remains mostly a mystery to us. One of Enchanted Ocean's main focuses is the ecological issues that threaten the undersea environment; a focus that empowers viewers so that they too can help defend these precious creatures. In addition, there are captivating guests who share their fascinating research or projects. Like the sound engineer who has helped mankind understand dolphins' highly-evolved communications with his specially constructed underwater microphones.
Along with the instructive content are water-themed comedy segments - sketches that feature silly and salient themes - like "The Sea Heroes," "The Sea News Room," "Barnacle Barry's Battle Ship" and "Dinghy Wars."

Elise Bailey
Show host Elise Bailey is a dedicated marine researcher with a background in biology and field research. She's so devoted to instilling a love and a passion for her aquatic friends in others, that she has gone back to school to earn a Ph.D. in Marine Biology. By doing so, she believes she can better educate the public and inspire them to join her in protecting and preserving earth's most precious underwater treasures. Elise's wealth of aquatic knowledge is complemented by her talents as a scuba and free diver, and an avid underwater videographer.
