About the Show

Travel with us to Hawaii, where the waves are huge, and the huevos are huger! It's non-stop over-the-top action as the "Hawaiian Xtreme Sports TV" crew brings you the top watersports athletes on the planet. Because the show has nurtured good relations with these extreme sports fanatics, "HXST" is able to put you right in the middle of the heart-pounding excitement.

The sports the show covers include surfing, kiteboarding, skateboarding, windsurfing, BMX, motocross, basejumping, paragliding, tow-in-surfing, bodyboarding, paddleboarding, wakeboarding, dirtboarding and more. If you're new to some of these extreme sports, you're in for a lesson in danger and dare-devilry.

An example of the upcoming extremity... the "Phelony North Shore Tow-in Championships," where Ski-Doos tow the surfers into humongous waves – waves that are too big for the surfers to paddle onto and catch themselves. The action is fast and furious and some of the longest big waves ever surfed were captured for the show.

If you're an adrenaline-junkie with a thirst for watery thrills, check out "Hawaiian Xtreme Sports TV" – it's a ride on the Xtreme side.
Cast and Crew
Dan Moore Dan Moore
Host
Born in rural New Jersey, Dan has always had a passion for the great outdoors. When he was 14, his family moved to Florida and that's where he learned to surf. At the same time, his carpenter father passed on his professional skills, and also taught Dan the importance of hard work, honesty and respect for others. At 17, Dan had an itch to travel and headed around the world. After his explorations, he settled on Oahu, Hawaii, savoring the slow island atmosphere and ocean biome.

Since then, Dan has been living his dreams, including the session in 1998 when he towed then partner Ken Bradshaw into some of the largest waves ever ridden. Their feat was featured in the action-packed IMAX film, "Extreme" and the Learning Channel documentary, "Condition Black." In 2005, Rob Brown's aerial photo of Dan on a 68-foot monster (officially the 2nd largest wave ever surfed!) won him the Billabong XXL Award, a $68,000 prize and cemented his place in surfing history.

Dan still lives on Oahu, where he is a professional tow-in surfer and a master cabinetmaker.
